Yes, folks. You read that right. We have released a new version of our A+ practice tests (Cert-220-701 and Cert-220-702) to include Windows 7 and IPv6 content. If you have already purchased these practice tests, then getting the new content is fairly simple. If you use our online engine, you do NOTHING. The next time you launch a new instance of your practice test, you will be accessing the new content. If you use a locally installed version of the practice test, you will need to log in to your Transcender Club account, click View My Products, and follow the steps to install the latest updates.
For those of you that weren’t aware of the updates, CompTIA announced last year that it would be re-releasing the current A+ exams with Windows 7 and IPv6 content in January 2011. The Exam Guides for the two tests were revised and released to the public. To date, we continue to get conflicting reports from students and industry friends on whether this new content has been released worldwide. However, we feel confident that our updates are appropriate and every new practice test question maps directly to a learning objective on the latest Exam Guide, so as to give you the best learning tool to pass whichever form of the A+ exam you may be presented with on test day!
Remember, the A+ certification has a three-year expiration date for all those certified after December 31, 2010. So any newly certified individuals will need to submit their continuing education units (CEUs) to CompTIA.
Let me know if you have any questions about anything CompTIA. Happy testing!
