Microsoft has revived their ever-popular Second Shot program for the period running from January 13, 2010 – June 31, 2010. Second Shot provides a free retake if you should fail your first attempt at an IT Professional, Developer, or Academic Certification Exam (70-xxx, 83-xxx, 94-xxx).

Second Shot is a joint venture between Prometric and Microsoft. Customers must register, obtain a voucher code, schedule, pay, and sit for both the first and (if necessary) second retake exams before June 30, 2010. In addition, you must register for the program before you actually sit for the initial exam.

You can view the complete program details for your particular career track (student or professional) at Microsoft’s Born to Learn blog: http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/2010/01/boost-your-career-take-a-second-shot-if-you-need-one

Second Shot for Students also includes up to a 55% discount on student exams (072-xxx): http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/offers/student-career.aspx#secondshot
